Inversion Table Works Well to Alleviate Back and Neck Aches
Friday, January 27th, 2012
When my husband started having some back issues, I suggested he finally give my Inversion Table a try. I had been using it for years and while many of my contemporaries were not only suffering with back problems and slowly, but surely losing height, my back felt great and I still stood at 5’8″ tall, the same height I was in high school. I enjoyed the relaxing time I spent using the table and considered it preventative maintenance for my back and neck. Once my husband started using the table, his backaches were greatly reduced and he was sleeping well once again. He had been tossing and turning, trying to get comfortable in bed for months, but after using the inversion table, he no longer was restless in his sleep. My husband now uses the table for a few minutes before heading off to work and when he gets home and has a lot more energy and drive to start and finish the day.

My Struggle out of Depression
Thursday, January 19th, 2012
I started to feel sad all of the time when I was in elementary school. I had a very hard time concentrating on anything, unless I blocked out everything else. I later learned this was called “hyper-focusing” and that the sadness would plague me for many years to come. I had a hard time keeping friends throughout my scholastic career because I would fall into what I now identify as depressive episodes. I didn’t know what they were back then, and had no way of explaining to other sixth graders why I didn’t want to talk to them for a while. It wasn’t until my mother suggested that I get counseling in college that I learned how to deal with my problems. I attended a local christian counseling service near my college and they’ve since helped me identify my depression. I’ve learned to deal with it through God and my life now has a positive outlook.

Best Locations to Perform Scoliosis Exercises
Friday, January 6th, 2012
You might think of scoliosis exercises as something that you need to do in a stuffy physical therapist’s office, but that is not always true. After you have learned the exercises fully from the therapist and you have their permission, you can perform them in these locations that are much more fun:
- The beach – If you are lucky enough to live near a beach, there are plenty of exercises you can do in the sand by the water.
- The park – If the weather is nice outside and you can make it to a park, why not exercise there? Find an empty patch of grass and you will have all the room you need to perform stretching exercises or workouts that use your body weight.
- Work – Did you know that there are certain exercises you can do inconspicuously in your office? Simply use your lunch hour or break to perform some stretches or other small movements that are effective but also won’t attract a lot of attention.

Lymphoma Symptoms: Pel-Ebstein Fever
Thursday, December 22nd, 2011
Cancer victims are mostly diagnosed when their condition has already reached the advance or late stage. However, there are early signs of cancer that appear or occur to patients but most are probably neglected resulting to malignant condition. Lymphoma, for example, the cancer of the lymphatic system has subtle symptoms and takes some time before you could finally realize that you are suffering with the disease.
One of the Lymphoma symptoms is fever. It is not an ordinary fever like when you are suffering from cold or flu. The fever is called Pel-Ebstein fever, which is named after the two European doctors, Pel and Ebstein. This is normally the symptom for the subtype Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
The diagnosis of the patient starts from the observation of the temperature for a week or two. It can reach up to 105 to 106 F or 40 to 40.5 C. Typically, it rises for a week and then the temperature falls by another week. Surprisingly, it will return again and repeat the rise and fall pattern.
Visiting a physician is the best solution when one is suffering from this fever. You will probably be diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma then, but anti-inflammatory treatments or chemotherapy is the last resort.

Remedies for Chemotherapy Induced Nausea and Vomiting (CINV)
Monday, December 19th, 2011
Chemotherapy is a great advancement that has helped many people to beat cancer once and for all. It comes at a great sacrifice to these patients though; one that they are willing to make for their lives, but that doesn’t make it any easier. There are many side effects which can include anemia and hair loss among other things, but one of the most common is nausea and vomiting. Here we will discuss many different options for helping to relieve nausea from chemotherapy and other suffering caused from chemotheapy induced nausea and vomiting (CINV). Patients may choose to try 1 or all of these treatments. Because the body is such a curious thing they may even find that some work consistently or that they have to trade off between them or some might choose to use all at once just to be certain. Remember to try everything under the car of a doctor though.
One of the main things is obviously prescriptions. Doctors are quick to prescribe, but more and more patients are turning away these medications. It can become really overwhelming, especially in the case of cancer patients, the amount of pills they are taking everyday. These toxins, while they may help, are also very damaging to the body and the more you put in your body at a time the more dangerous the mixing of these chemicals becomes. Because of this we will discuss a few natural alternatives that will work wonders on any chemo patient.
One of the very best natural ways to relieve vomiting is through the use of ginger. For generations we have been taught that ginger can be used to relieve nausea. In it’s most potent form as an essential oil it is especially helpful for the relief of nausea. Applying to the feet and breathing it in can be very efficient and the effects will be almost immediate. Another essential oil that can help is peppermint. These oils must be in their purest, most potent forms, so a lot of research is needed to find the right company, so that you aren’t putting more toxins into your body.
Another natural way to relieve nausea is to be smart about what you are eating. Make sure you are eating in a balanced and nutritious fashion, but try to stick to meals that don’t have strong smells and that are calm on the stomach. It never hurts to stick to the BRAT diet – bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast. These are all taming. Adding a little cinnamon to the toast and tame the tummy even more.
Be sure to stay hydrated, because the chemo treatments can cause you to become dehydrated without the nausea attached, so don’t let it get worse, because you will feel worse and have even more complications because of it. Sip slowly and often throughout the day to help reduce vomiting relating to water consumption.
Acupressure can be especially helpful in relieving nausea. This is not always an affordable or easily accessible tool though. Because of this all chemotherapy patient should have an acupressure wristband. These wristbands use acupressure techniques to relieve nausea. They are harmless and easy to use. They are constantly applying pressure to the point on the wrist that helps to relieve nausea and so patients can better enjoy their lives throughout their treatment and maintain a healthy nutrition filled diet as well.
A well balanced body can function and heal more easily and so it is vital that CINF symptoms be kept checked and balanced by whatever means necessary. Of course by first choosing the natural path patients will be better able to heal and keep their nutritional levels up. Cancer is a difficult thing for anyone to handle and these nausea relief techniques can help make that difficult time more manageable and make it easier for patients to enjoy the good moments of life.

Mom’s Laser Eye Treatment
Monday, December 19th, 2011
I was finally able to convince my mom to have laser eye treatment so she can better appreciate the things she does since she won’t have to wear eyeglasses anymore. As soon as she said yes, we immediately went to the nearest local laser eye clinic to inquire about the procedure – the risks, requirements, process, and the possible outcomes. The ophthalmologist first assessed my mom’s eyesight to make sure that laser eye treatment will be a safe and successful procedure for her.
Thankfully, she passed all the requirements so afterwards, we discussed about how the procedure will happen and what possible risks could be encountered. The ophthalmologist assured us that it is a quick, safe, and painless operation that could be accomplished in an hour. My mom can go home as soon as the operation is done but she will require someone to drive her home since she will be wearing an eyepatch following the operation.

Eliminating Panic Attacks
Wednesday, December 14th, 2011
Anxiety attacks are a very terrifying issue that many people deal with on a regular basis. Many of these attacks seem to come out of nowhere – someone might be perfectly comfortable in a situation, only to abruptly break a sweat and think that they’re going to faint. These attacks are often hard to prevent because even the individual who is having a panic attack may not understand what set it off.
If you suffer from panic attacks, you might feel very hopeless. If you’re in this situation and you’re anxiously seeking help, then you have to know that there is help out there.
Before actively seeking professional help, it’s very useful to try and figure out what exactly causes the onset of these attacks. If you already know what it is that leads to your panic attacks, you can try and acknowledge when a panic attack is more likely to happen; this gives you time to try and calm yourself down in advance. For lots of people, what triggers an anxiety attack might be a memory of an especially difficult past event. If this really is the situation for you, it may be helpful to close your eyes, take deep breaths, and try to remain calm as these memories surface.
The panic away program will work wonders for people suffering from this condition. This program doesn’t only solve your anxiety problems, it will also rid yourself from its symptoms and eventually regain your life back.

Are You Suffering from Public Speaking Anxiety?
Sunday, December 11th, 2011
Public speaking anxiety often affects teenagers or those just stepping into adulthood. During the high school and college days, students are often provided the opportunity to address gatherings.
The very objective of the exercise is to instill confidence in the youngsters. The audience for these is also comprised of the faculty and other students. In the normal course, facing a known gathering is often easier than being put in front of a strange audience. This type of anxiety stems from the fear of failure which is more a mental block. This form of anxiety can be easily overcome through proper guidance and pep talks by the teachers/elders. More importantly, the individual should be made to understand that the audience is not expecting a perfect presentation and that there is ample room for mistakes/failure. Once the objective of the exercise becomes clear, the person expected to deliver the speech will feel more at ease and acquire the capability to address a gathering more effectively during future occasions.

The Migraine Diet
Saturday, December 10th, 2011
For people who commonly are afflicted with migraines, one method to potentially limiting the onset is to eliminate certain foods. This adjustment of what one eats is often called a migraine diet. Cheese, specifically aged cheese, is one such food that can trigger a person’s migraine. The reason is that some people have a sensitivity to a substance called tyramine. This substance is present in certain foods where the protein breaks down.
Some examples of aged cheeses that have been linked to causing migraines are:
- Feta
- Cheddar
- Mozzarella
- Swiss
Aside from cheese, other foods that are high in tyramine are pickles, raisins, nuts, canned soups, and processed meats.
Frequency of meals is also part of the migraine diet. Many people report getting migraines if they skip meals. It is believed that the fluctuations in blood sugar may be the trigger.
One thing is for certain. It would behoove anyone who suffers from migraines to examine their dietary habits and try to determine if their is a connection. The removal of certain foods from their diet may be the first step to eliminating the debilitating migraine headache.

Procedures and Assessments Before Hemorrhoid Surgery
Thursday, December 8th, 2011
Medical tests that need to be carried out before hemorrhoid surgery include urine and blood assessments and laboratory analysis and a pectoral x-ray, which should be rather simple. Most of these assessments are typically carried out several days before surgery treatment.
Prescription drugs which will thin your blood are likely to be stopped prior to this or as a matter of fact any types of surgery procedures. Also, the same way, certain prescription drugs, which are normally prescribed for excessive bleeding need to be completely stopped.
Whenever normal sedation or general anaesthesia will be employed, not a single thing could be eaten for 12 hours prior to treatment. This is because vomiting during or after surgery could be dangerous as the vomit could go down the airway.
When an epidural or a local anaesthetic is used, you might be able to eat before treatment as you will be conscious. And this should be all.

The Best Way to Get People in Shape
Thursday, December 1st, 2011
I can’t speak for everyone in the fitness game. However, I think that most of us did enter into it with a real desire to help people. That’s why I try to convince people to get in form whenever possible. It’s because of what the software has meant to me, personally. The software itself is basically a system of customer relationships. One has the ability, with it, to access a lot of the individual data and information about the people hiring your services. It seems like a fairly simple thing, however that’s the general key to the whole thing. It’s designed to take a very complex thing and make it streamlined so that you can just breeze through the process. Instead of having to sort through reams of papers, one can simply work with easy to perform searches and get everything there is to know about a client and the packages which they’re signed up for. In doing so, it gives unprecedented ability to really help people. Because every moment gained is a moment which can be devoted to their health.

Be Patient with Those Who Suffer from Tinnitus
Tuesday, November 29th, 2011
Do you know anyone close to you that is suffering from tinnitus? If you do, then please be patient with them. It helps them a lot if you can display tolerance and understanding towards them. People suffering from tinnitus may be short tempered, or not socially active. They are not to be blamed. They are always living under the stress of hearing the ringing sounds in their ears. Imagine hearing ringing sounds inside your head 24 hours a day, and every day of the year. It may drive you up the walls. Therefore, if you have friends that are suffering from tinnitus, then please extend your helping hand to them. You can do so by encouraging them to be part of your social activities. Hopefully, they will forget about the ringing sounds while engaging in the activities. More importantly, you should get them to see a doctor to identify the causes of tinnitus if they have never sought medical help before.
